Our Latest Swamper Build
We've just completed an awesome project - converting a VW T6 Caravelle van into a badass Swamper. It's perfect for anyone who wants to explore off-grid, get muddy and take on some serious Overland adventures.
This customer wanted to be able to use his vehicle as an expedition vehicle. He needed it to stand the tests of time and be able to take on some serious terrain. The kit he decided on was:
- Front Runner Roof Rack
- Lazer Lamps
- All Terrain Tyres
- Leisure battery system
- Solar Panel Kit
- Mudflaps
- Sump Guard
- Pegasus Electric Side Step
- VB Air Suspension
We've upgraded this van to ensure it's up to the task. First, we installed a Front Runner Roof Rack, perfect for carrying gear and supplies. Plus, it's a tent up top that you can access via a ladder at the back of the van. And if not enough, there is a safari-style wrap-around awning for extra shade and shelter.
We've also got you covered when dealing with rough terrain. The Swamper now has All Terrain Tyres, Mudflaps, and a Sump Guard - this van can take a beating and keep on going.
We installed a Leisure Battery System and a Solar Panel Kit. We added a Pegasus Electric Side Step that automatically extends when you open the door. That means you can keep your gadgets running without worrying about juice.
Upgrading the suspension to VB Air Suspension is the most significant improvement. Air suspension gives you the power to change the ride height depending on your location. Go up over rugged terrain. Go down when loading and unloading the vehicle. You can even use the levelling option at a campsite.
We also made sure to add some serious lighting power to this rig. We put in some Lazer Lamps that provide a bright, focused beam of light to help you see what's ahead when you're on or off the road.
There was an existing QuQuQ kitchen box already in the van. Giving you more options when using the van than a traditional conversion.
